Barbara Collins September 30, 2021 Barbara Collins was a beautiful soul, wonderful and big-hearted daughter, sister, sister-in-law, loving aunt, and dedicated lifelong friend to those who blessed to be in her life. Barbara was called to join the warm and tender embrace of her parents and brother that preceded her to the gates of Heaven and passed away peacefully September 30th, 2021, in her Cicero home at the age of 74. Barbara was born in Syracuse to John and Patricia Collins on January 24, 1947, in the Eastwood neighborhood of Syracuse. Barbara attended Blessed Sacrament and Henninger High School where she maintained lifelong friendships spanning over five decades. Barbara worked for Mutual of New York in downtown Syracuse as an Investment Specialist. Barbara also worked for Peter Harris Clothing in Fayetteville, NY. Throughout her life Barbara lived in Syracuse, Fayetteville, and Cicero, NY. Barbara possessed an enormous heart and was the most loyal and dedicated friend anyone could be blessed to have. Barbara magnified the happiness of those she held close to her heart. Barbara was fun loving possessing a great sense of humor and a rare sense of kindness and consideration for those in her life. Always putting others before herself, you could write volumes about the sacrifices Barbara was willing to make to bring joy in our lives. She loved her Catholic faith, travel, genealogy, lighthouses, books, old movies, and vintage handmade dolls. It is our hope when reading this that you were blessed to know Barbara, and the light Barbara brought into our lives. "IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY AND MEMORIES WERE A LANE WE WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN AND BRING YOU BACK AGAIN" Barbara is predeceased by her parents, John and Patricia, and her loving brother, Michael. Barbara is cherished and remembered by her brother, Bill and sisters-in-law, Yvonne Collins and Gerri Collins, and her aunt, Carolyn Schmidt. Barbara held very close to heart her precious nephews and nieces, Jack, Emily, Christine, Laurie, Kate, Meghan, Beth, and Amanda. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at the Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 S. Main Street, North Syracuse NY 13212 on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a service.
