Anna M. Cifaratta

Anna M. (Dudli) Cifaratta, 83, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born in Syracuse to the late John Ulrich and Anna (Kebrich) Dudli, she was also predeceased by her brothers, John and James. She graduated from North Syracuse High School and was employed in several secretarial positions, beginning with the telephone company, and including American Airlines and General Electric. Anna married her husband of 53 years, John Joseph Cifaratta, Jr. in 1958. She was predeceased by him on January 18, 2012. Surviving are their children, Michael (Susan) Cifaratta, William (Larie) Cifaratta, and Susan (Charles) Conklin; their grandchildren, Ashley Cifaratta, Kathryn Cifaratta, Katrina Conklin, John Cifaratta, Matthew Cifaratta, Elise Conklin, Robert (Shelby) Riley, and Nicole Riley; her sister, Dolores Oot; her brother, Carl Dudli, and several nieces and nephews. Anna lived an active life and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was passionate about travel, cooking, and gardening. Other hobbies included golf, sewing, and painting. Anna brought creativity into many areas of her life, and she was a vivid storyteller, passing on family history and traditions. She and her husband, John, traveled throughout the US and Europe, visiting family and friends. Her friendships were very meaningful to her throughout her life; in recent years, she looked forward to Tuesday mornings with her “Breakfast Girls.” Anna will always be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, tenacity, and loving heart. Masks are required for all services. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 8th from 4 to 7 pm at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse. Services will be Wednesday, February 9th at the funeral home at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial offered at 10 am at St. Margaret's Church, 200 Roxboro Road, Mattydale. Committal Ceremonies will be in the chapel of Onondaga County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery.
