November 25, 1925 - November 21, 2020
Saturday, November 21st, Dominick M. “Dick” Christopher, took the hand of his beloved wife and joined her in heaven for eternity. He was just days shy of his 95th birthday. Dick called Baldwinsville his current home and formerly lived in East Syracuse. Born in Utica, NY to the late Michael and Rose (Motto) Christopher, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Anthony, Michael, Edward and his “womb mate”, Ella Roback. Mr. Christopher was a design illustrator for General Electric in Utica and Syracuse for 31 years, retiring in 1987. In his retirement, he loved his ‘job’ as a delivery person for The Brooklyn Pickle with his wife, as co-pilot, by his side. He was a faithful communicant of St. Matthew's and of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Churches; a proud blood donor to the American Red Cross for many years; a former member of the Fayetteville Lions Club who enjoyed golf and bowling, but most of all treasured his time with his family. A gentleman and a gentle man who adored his wife and family deeply; Dick had a smile that would light up the room and a quiet tenderness about him. He adored mom and referred to her as his “beautiful lady”. They shared a faith and love that was undeniable. Dad knew mom was getting his place ready for him beside her in heaven. The former Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Fox, Dick's wife of almost 70 years, predeceased him on March 17, 2018. Surviving are his children, Judith Christopher of Phoenix, NY, Richard (Gary Lehmann) of Liverpool, Michael (Anne Marie) of South Dakota, Ed (Patty) of Warners and Nancy (Pat) Dunne of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Stephania (Rich), Nikki (Jesse), Katrina (Josh), Emily (Megan), Connor, Sadie, Maddy and Ethan; a great grandson, Stellan; siblings, Raymond Christopher, Grace Martin and Robert Christopher. Our family would like to graciously thank everyone for the love & dedication extended to our dad. Especially, the caregivers at Sage Court at McHarrie Pointe in Syracuse Home & Dr. Stephanie Clapper, Amy Russell, PA & Staff. Their endless love and abundant support will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.
