Gisela Hanna Riehl

Gisela"Gigi" Riehl, of Bridgeport and formerly of DeRuyter, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 of a chronic illness. Born on April 5, 1939 in Breslau, Germany, she immigrated to America in 1957, and proudly became a U. S. citizen in 2017. Briefly, Gisela worked for Crescent Corset in Cortland and then for 37 years she worked in the Central Sterile Department of St. Joseph's Hospital. Gisela recently enjoyed fulfilling one of her bucket list wishes by taking a ride in a motorcycle side car. A loving mother, Gisela always kept her family in her daily thoughts and prayers. She was a devoted member of The Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Ernest Riehl, her son, Ernie Riehl and two grandchildren, she is survived by her children, Sabina Croft of Bridgeport, Mark Riehl and his wife, Cathy, of Liverpool and Cristine Del Fuoco and her husband, Michael, of Cicero; several grandchildren and a great grandson. All are welcome to a "Celebration of Life", officiated by Pastor Lyman Fritz and Pastor Russell Huggins, on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 3:30 p. m. at the Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 11 Main Street, Camden, NY 13316. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Gisela's final earthly resting place will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter, NY.
